About the Ultimate food tour by golf cart tour

Join us for the ultimate food experience to see (and savor) Rome as you never have before. Your guide will explain the origins and traditions behind Rome’s best dishes as you experience Italian cuisine in the most satisfying way possible: by eating your way across the city, transported between neighborhoods across the city in an open air golf cart. After being picked up at your hotel, start the morning right with a breakfast pastry and an energizing Italian coffee (prepared in any style you like) and then hit the road to try smoked meats, tasty cheeses, fried Roman specialties, the Italian favorites (pasta and pizza) and of course creamy Italian gelato! No Italian meal is complete without wine and we’ll pair our favorite whites and reds with tastings as we go.

Your guide will take you into the shops, restaurants and lively local markets so you experience not only the flavors of the city, you get a true taste for daily Roman life. With the golf cart, you won’t be restricted to just one neighborhood but can try the best food from across the city, learning about each of Rome’s famous districts. Explore the city while learning about working class restrictions that led to tasty ingenuity in the charming Trastevere quarter and Jewish Ghetto and then tracing the evolution of Rome’s outdoor Markets from the oldest in the city at Campo dei Fiori to the modern market in the up and coming foodie haven: Testaccio.

We did the food tour by golf cart with Alice as our guide. She was fantastic!!! Super personable and took us to great places we never would have found without her!! First we had typical Roman breakfast at a pastry cafe. You know it’s a good place when locals and even the police stop in for take away. Next we drove around the city a bit and stopped for local Roman pizza. Seriously, so delicious!!! I’m going to dream about that pizza for months. Then we went to a meat and cheese shop and they made us a board of cured meats, cheeses, olives, and bread. We were all stuffed but there was more to eat. We had lunch at a family owned pasta place which was delicious!!! Finally we ended the tour with gelato. It was a great day and I learned so much about the city, food, and culture. If you want a great day filled with all the amazing food you could ever eat, then book this tour!!!!!!!

The food tour with Fabio was FANTASTIC! We were able to see some of the sights of Rome and get a taste of the local flavor. Fabio was very knowledgeable and engaging. We initially booked the tour for 4 but were Alice, our guide for the morning, arrived bright and early, and her character and persona made the whole tour so much more enjoyable. Driving through Rome in a golf cart is so much fun as we felt much more intermate and close to the city. Each stop had fantastic food, from breakfast pastries and coffee to pasta and wine to finish off. The information Alice spoke about was great, interesting and easy to listen to, her English is excellent. I thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who only has a short time in the beautiful city and wants a taste of real Italian food, and wants to see a lot of the city!

    All our golf carts are street legal, equipped with roofs, seat belts, and rain covers.
    · 4-seat cart: All passengers face forward.
    · 5-seat cart: 4 forward-facing, 1 backward-facing.
    · 6-seat cart: 4 forward-facing, 2 backward-facing.
    · 8-seat cart: 6 forward-facing, 2 backward-facing.
    Meeting point

    If you’re staying within Rome’s historic center (within the Aurelian Wall), we can start the tour right from your hotel. Otherwise, let’s meet at our shop located at Piazza del Gesù 47.

    No worries if you have a big group! We can accommodate groups larger than 8 by providing multiple carts and guides, ensuring everyone stays together throughout the tour.

    Our 3-hour golf-cart tour is primarily a sightseeing experience, so we don’t enter ticketed sites like the Colosseum or Vatican. However, we offer full-day specialized tours that may include visits to these iconic locations, complete with admission and guided exploration.
