Rome Golf-Cart Tours

What is the cancellation Policy?
Refunds due to cancellation will be issued in the following cases: Complete refund – If you cancel at least 48 Hours before the Tour start time.
If you cancell between 48-24 hours beofre starting time you are entiled to 50% refund.
No Refund- cancellations less than 24 hours before the tour start time.
Are the prices different for children?
The tour cost is waived for ages 3 and under; ages 4 and above are the same cost as adults.
Can the golf cart tour start from our accommodation?

Yes! We can pick you up as long as your accommodation is located inside the historical center of Rome (within the Aurelian walls). Otherwise, we start the tour at our shop (Piazza del Gesù 47) or anywhere else in the center of Rome. If you’re not sure whether your location is within the center of Rome please feel free to contact us.

How many people can fit in a golf cart?
We have 4-seat, 5-seat, 6-seat and 8-seat golf-carts. Please note that we could also use more than one golf-cart for larger tours! The seat positioning is: 4 seater carts – all seats face forward. 6 seater cart – 4 seats face forward 2 seats face backwards. 8 seat cart – 6 seats face forward 2 seats face backwards.
Please note that we cannot fuarantee a specific golf cart for your tour. When 4+ on a tour Rolling Rome might use a large cart or 2 small golf carts on the tour. Each golf cart is always driven by your guide and we always stick close to each other having all stops together.
Can the tour itinerary be changed?
Yes absolutely! Since golf cart tours are private we can always change and customize your itinerary, as long as it will be a realistic itinerary.
Does the golf cart have a roof?
Yes! All our Golf-Carts have a roof to protect you from the sun.
What happens if it rains?
Our tours run rain or shine. Our golf-carts have roofs and plastic side coverings, plus we always carry ponchos for when we step outside to explore the sites.
Do we enter sites such as the Colosseum, Vatican or Pantheon?
We do not enter sites during our 3 hour golf-cart tour that require admission. However, we do offer a full day tour that could include 3 hours by golf-cart, a lunch break and a tour by foot inside the Colosseum and Roman Forum or the Vatican Museum and St. Peter Basilica. We also cannot enter locations like the Roman Forum with the golf cart as they are only pedestrian.
Are pickups from multiple locations possible?
When members of a group are staying at different locations, tours can only begin from one location of your choice.

Rome Segway Tours

Are There Age Or Weight Restrictions For Segways ?
Although riding a Segway is relatively easy to use and learn, we do require that all riders be at least 15 years of age. exceptionally we allow kids of less than 15 to join in on our tours, please write us or visit our shop for more information. The Segway is appropriate for virtually anyone from 15 up to 70 years of age. The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds (45 kilos) or over 250 pounds (113 kilos).
Are Segways Appropriate For People With Disabilities ?
Riding a Segway PT requires you to be able to perform simple tasks and to be self sufficient; stand up straight, lean slightly forward and backwards, and be able to climb a step. In case you feel unprepared, please check our golf cart tours
Are Segways Safe And How Do They Work ?
Yes! Riding a Segway is very easy, Virtually anyone between the ages of 15-70 can ride it. Plus, we give extra care and put an emphasis on the safety of our customers by limiting our groups to up to 7 participants per group. The “Segway Human Transporter” is the first of its kind-a self-balancing, personal transportation device designed to go anywhere pedestrians do. Easy to use and operate, the two-wheeled Segway sports high-tech gyroscopes that automatically respond to your body’s movements, “sensing” when it should speed up and slow down.
Do We Enter Monuments During The Tour ?
Our tour is an orientation sightseeing visit of the city. We easily glide by the monuments without entering them.
What Happens If It Rains ?
We glide in the sun and in the rain. In case it rains prior to the tour, we might decide to continue the tour in a Golf-Cart, doing the same itinerary. We might cancel when weather is stormy, and in this case we will rain check it to another day depending on availability, or provide a refund.
Are You Allowed To Drink Before Or During A Segway Tour ?
It is not allowed to drink alcohol during the Segway Tour. Any client suspected of drinking before or during the tour will be removed from the Segway Tour. No refund will be given in this case.
Are Segways Appropriate For Pregnant Women ?
The use of Segway PT is not recommended when pregnant. In cases of early pregnancies we can allow you to participate after signing a waiver releasing Rolling Rome from any responsibility.
How Far In Advance Do I Need To Book ?
These tours fill to capacity on a regular basis, and for this reason we suggest you either book online, or call our office. We don’t want you to miss out without letting us show you around.

Rome E-Bike Tours

Are There Age Restrictions For E-Bikes ?
The minimum age is 13 years old.
Do We Go On Roads Or Pedestrian Lanes ?
Both! We always choose the easiest and safest way to go.
Can Small Children Ride On The Back Of My Bike ?
We do have baby seats so you could have a baby with you (baby seat = up to 20kg). Unfortunately children less the 13 years old that weight more then 20 kg could not join this tour.
What Speed Do E-Bikes Reach ?
Electric bicycle can go up to 25km/hour.
How Do E-Bikes Work ?
A pedelec (from pedal electric cycle) is a bicycle where the rider’s pedalling is assisted by a small electric motor; thus they are a type of low-powered e-bike. However, unlike some other types of e-bikes, pedelecs are classified as conventional bicycles in many countries by road authorities rather than classified as a type of electric moped. Pedelecs include an electronic controller which stops the motor producing power when the rider is not pedalling or when a certain speed has been reached. Pedelecs are useful for people who have to ride in hilly areas.
Are There Bikes Of Different Sizes ?
Yes, we have large and small bicycle so you could always fit easily.

Rome Golf-Cart Rental

What Are The Requirements To Rent A Golf Cart ?
The driver must be at least 25 years old, have a Driving license which is valid in the European union / Italy and a credit card with at least 6 months till expiration.
Am I Insured ?
Yes, our golf-cart are insured, also against 3rd part.
Where Is The Golf Cart Allowed To Go ?
Golf-Cart can go on any road in the centre of Rome, including Rome’s ZTL (limited traffic zones) which are closed to normal cars. Except pedestrian lanes and public transportation lanes.
Where Can I Park The Golf Cart ?
Golf-Carts can park for free on white parking slots (free for all), blue parking slots (normal cars have to pay, free for golf-cart). Golf-Cart cannot park on orange parking slots.
Do You Offer Itineraries ?
We would be delighted to provide you with a map and suggest some itineraries for you to follow. We also offer an iPad with internet so you could use a navigation system and enjoy video collection of Rome’s top sites.
Where Does The Rental Start From ?
Rental start and end from our shop. We offer hotel service with an additional 20 euro for each direction.
Can I Keep The Golf Cart Overnight ?
No, as we need to check the cart, have it cleaned and charge it overnight.
