About the Appian Way e-bike tour

From all roads leading to Rome, the ancient Appian Way – Via Appia Antica – was the most famous and important as for more than two thousand years the Via Appia has been leading visitors to the capital. You will be amazed by the amount of history that is laid along this old cobbled stoned way: Ancient Roman stadiums, Tombs of Nobles, important churches, underground burial sites (catacombs), Roman Villa’s, aqueducts and more.. On Sundays, the Appian way is closed for traffic, so we can go on and explore the first miles of this beautiful and country side road surrounded by nature.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour of Rome! Our tour guide seemed to really have our best interest at heart and took us to all the places we wanted to see, as well as some gems we wouldn’t have even known about without the tour, like the The Jesuit Church of Saint Ignatius with its optical illusion dome.We had a long list for him of things we wanted to see, and he was able to do most of it, as well as take us to some other amazing parks and churches. Three hours was the perfect amount of time, and it was well worth the money.

We just got back from our 3 hour tour with Antonio! It was everything we hoped it would be and so much more! He is an exceptional tour guide, so knowledgeable about all the history, was happy to answer all our questions, take photos for us and even treated us to cappuccino. This was truly the highlight of our trip to Rome, if you visit- book! And ask for Antonio
