Alena – Office
Alena makes all the magic of our tours happen! She is highly skilled in managing the many schedules of our guides and guests, and keeping all the Rolling Rome “characters” in line! Having embraced Rome as her home, Alena delights in introducing newcomers to the enchanting allure of the Eternal City. You may catch her at the office savouring a cappuccino, occasionally sharing amusing anecdotes about the unique rhythm of Roman traffic.
Alex – Guide
Our guide Alex started his journey to us after his lowest point- being kicked off from NASA for sleeping on the job! Or maybe it was after he didn’t become a famous rockstar even though his version of “You Are My Sunshine” will have you wiping tears from your eyes. Life didn’t give Alex lemons, it gave him Rome and a golf cart, and Life is great! Alex doesn’t sleep on the job anymore but you may catch him whistling a special tune while driving!
Alexander – Guide
Alexander was born and raised in Rome, where he’s had plenty of time to perfect his legendary carbonara—he claims it’s the best in the city! Alexander is passionate about history and loves thinking about all the people who’ve walked the same streets of Rome over the centuries. When he’s not on tour, you’ll find Alexander diving into a psychology textbook or jamming out to his unique style of music. With his friendly nature and knack for sharing cool facts and silly jokes, Alexander makes sure your tour is both enjoyable and packed with interesting info!
Angelika – Guide
Angie is our open minded but also a little bit old-fashioned guide, who would like to go back to living in the times of Federico Fellini and his Dolce Vita. She never gets tired of discovering every layer of the Roman “lasagna” and looking for the special moments created by the fusion of the perfect light, color, scent, and story. In the past Angie did judo so she is ready to be your personal bodyguard!
Angelo – Guide
Originally from the countryside of Venice, Angelo has learned the city of Rome like no other! Each day since moving here, he falls in love with Rome’s colorful sunsets, unparalleled history and its uniquely challenging traffic.
Angel is also an actor, so if you ever get tired of him talking about Julius Caesar, you can always ask him to recite Mark Anthony’s Shakespearen monologue! Standing tall at 6’4 and a boxer, Angelo can protect you from any Roman ghosts that might appear around the corner.

Antonio – Guide
At 6’7, Antonio, (or Toni to his friends, family and gang) is a true encyclopedia of history and art, so if you’d like to know EVERYTHING we hope you land in his cart. Besides knowing everything about everything, he also shoots movies and in the little time he has left he paints and draws. Antonio has a special fascination with St Peters Basilica which he visits whenever he has to think something over!
Benedetta – Guide
Benedetta is passionate about sharing the hidden gems of Rome through captivating historical anecdotes, intriguing details, and, of course, delicious food! Originally from near Venice, she has called Rome home for many years and continues to be enchanted by the city’s beauty and grandeur. When she’s not leading tours, you might find her enjoying a glass of wine in Trastevere or caring for the much beloved Moshe, her ageless (but young at heart!) turtle! Get ready for a delightful and cheerful Roman adventure with Benedetta!
Beatrice – Guide
Beatrice is also an actress and has always had a deep interest in art and history. Her friends are always shocked that she knows the city so well: every street and every corner! Rome is where Beatrice was born and raised, even though it can be a big mess, for her it is home! Beatrice can’t wait to show you the magic of the city!
Carlotta – Guide
Carlotta is a passionate and knowledgeable tour guide with an enduring love for her hometown of Rome! After spending ten years in the city of Paris, Carlotta returned to the Eternal City, excited to share its rich history, legends, and hidden treasures with visitors from around the world. When she’s not guiding travelers through Rome’s charming streets, Carlotta finds joy in music and movement as an avid swing dancer, or enjoys peaceful moments at home with her two beloved cats. With her warm personality, infectious enthusiasm, and deep connection to Rome, Carlotta looks forward to leading you on an unforgettable journey through the heart of this ancient city.
Carolina – Guide
Carolina is an artist in every sense of the word—a painter, photographer, and passionate student at the Academy of Fine Arts. Born in the picturesque countryside near Padua, she has always been a wanderer at heart, exploring the world before falling in love with the eternal beauty of Rome. Guided by her Libra spirit, Carolina has a deep appreciation for the delicate balance of art, history, and mythology that shapes the city. Whether she’s uncovering the stories behind ancient ruins or capturing the perfect play of light in her photographs, Carolina infuses every moment with her signature blend of curiosity and romance.
Edoardo – Guide
Energetic! Always smiling! Very experienced! A perfect English speaker! None of this describes Edoardo however he’s going to deliver a once in a lifetime tour. The few days he’s not working, it’s possible Edoardo is studying for his phd in psychology. If not, he would be reading some philosophy book, listening to some ol’ blues music, watching a movie, or even playing ball. Edoardo’s convinced Rome is the most beautiful city in the world and by the end of your tour you just may be convinced too!
Eugene – Guide
Eugene has been with Rolling since 2013 and is our last standing guide from the original team. He’s happily married and has a baby Jack Russel who does crazy tricks. Eugene is also an architect, giving him a special love for the palaces of Rome. Both on tours and in his spare time, Eugene enjoys capturing the perfect photo with his camera.
Emelie – Guide
Similar to Queen Catherine of Sweden, Emelie is a Swedish adventurer with a deep passion for all aspects of Italian arts. She envisions spending her days reveling in the beauty and history of Rome. When Emelie is not exploring Rome, she indulges in hiking up mountains or immersing herself in captivating books. However, nothing captivates Emelie more than the rich history of the Eternal City, and she is eager to share her enthusiasm with you!
Francesco – Guide
Introducing Francesco, a vibrant 26-year-old Roman who’s passionate about sharing the lively energy and historical tales of his incredible hometown! This social butterfly thrives on connecting with people and exchanging stories that spark joy and inspiration. A true music lover, Francesco can be found rocking out on both the guitar and drums, letting his creativity flow through every beat. And just to keep life exciting, he’s also diving into the fascinating realm of psychology—because who wouldn’t want to explore the mysteries of the mind while jamming to their favorite tunes?
Giorgia – Guide
Giorgia, or Giò for friends and family, was born and bred in Rome- per her grandfather they are 7th generation Romans. She loves everything about this city, especially the little gems you can find in the small squares and the lesser-known churches. Giorgia loves traditional Italian cooking, especially carbonara, but few people know she secretly likes pineapple pizza! She loves to sing too, you might even catch her singing Taylor Swift, but she promises to sing only if you ask. Due to working as a nanny for several years, Giorgia is a pro at keeping kids entertained! Giorgia can’t wait to show you her city, during tours she will share special facts and anecdotes from her grandfather while showing you the true soul of Rome
Giulio – Guide
Giulio Foccardi is 27 years old and was born and raised in Venice. He spent his fourth year of high school in Williamsburg (PA) and did his university studies in London, at Royal Holloway University, from which he graduated with a Bachelors in History in 2019.
Right after University Giulio started attending a Drama academy which enabled him to become a professional actor. Giulio aspires to combine his two passions for History and Cinema and become a movie producer. If you’re willing to embark on a journey full of surprises, hidden gems, interesting characters and ghosts, then Giulio is the perfect guide for you!
Ilaria – Guide
Ilaria, or Hilary, is a passionate traveler and is still chasing her childhood dream of visiting the entire world. She is passionate about dogs and a proud dog mom. She rolls around Rome with stylish shades as she can’t survive the bright light of summer time without her sunglasses which is a shame with those eyes! When it’s been a rough day, Ilaria indulges in a relaxing evening with some good food and wine
Leah – Office
When steps away from her studies in Medicine and Surgery, Leah channels her energy and enthusiasm into her work at the office in Rolling Rome. A proud geek, Leah delights in exploring subjects that ignite her curiosity, ranging from medicine and technology to pop culture. Her zeal for learning and knack for problem-solving illuminate all her endeavors.
Leopoldo – Guide
Leopoldo Carrassi del Villar also goes by Leo for those close to him, or you can call him Cicero! A Native Roman, he knows the city and the streets like the back of his hand. Leo is enjoying his “new” chapter in life as a guide after being a professional chef in Rome and other elite European cities. He loves his job, which is at the intersection of his passion for people, history and Rome. Leo enjoys the comfort and peace of his weekly work routine with golf cart tours and in his free time he gives way to his adrenaline-filled passions with motocross, ice hockey and climbing.
Lisa – Guide
Born and raised in the suburbs of Rome, Lisa has always had a deep passion for exploring new cultures and distant places. Her love for travel has taken her to 25 countries and allowed her to live abroad for six years. Upon returning to Rome, Lisa discovered her true calling: guiding passionate travelers through the beauty and hidden gems of Rome and Italy. She enjoys sharing fascinating legends and shedding light on the personal lives of artists and women from past eras, making every tour an engaging and enriching experience. When she’s not working, she spends her time with her beloved daughter.
Lorenzo – Guide
A Rome native, Lorenzo has called various Roman neighborhoods home throughout his life. He is well-equipped to address your inquiries regarding their distinctions and unveil hidden treasures for you to explore. Similar to his feline companion, Lorenzo takes pleasure in savoring good food and indulging in the occasional catnap under the sun! Beyond being an actor, Lorenzo is a passionate music enthusiast, but be cautious when discussing the 70s with him as he might just talk your ear off!
Luca – Guide
Luca has been an amazing tour guide for an amazing 12 years. Everyday is a new adventure for him as he loves the chance to share our beautiful city with the world. Luca grew up in both Rome and Brisbane, Australia, giving our team some Aussie flavor! Luca’s pastimes include writing musical compositions and continuing his world travels.
Maxie – Guide
Maxie comes from a French and German family, and grew up on a boat in the Mediterranean Sea, spending her childhood traveling. As an actress, artist, theater teacher and tour guide Maxie works surrounded by art and people. She’ll guide you around Rome and introduce you to the fascinating people that walked on the same streets centuries ago.
Nico – Guide
No one knows the ever changing mood of Roman drivers better than Nico- as he says, “I know my chickens!” Nico fell in love with guiding 2 years ago and it’s a win win for everybody. He won’t hide that he has a little bit of pride in being born in a city with 3000 years of history. In his free time, Nico loves playing guitar and singing. With experience as an actor and starring in a band for several years, your tour with him won’t be lacking in entertainment!
Nicolò – Guide
Nicolò has always been in love with arts and literature, after focusing on humanistic studies during his high-school period, he then attended an academy of dramatic arts, graduatin with a degree in acting. During his tours, Nicolò loves to share the best places, buildings and views of this amazing “Eternal City”. His biggest passions and hobbies: movies (of course!), exhibitions, sports and traveling.
Oscar – Guide
Oscar, a born-and-bred Roman with a twist of Italian-American flair from his mom, was chatting away in English before most kids figure out how to say “ciao.” With Rome’s historic vibes coursing through his veins, he was the kid always asking “what’s the story behind this column?” naturally leading to a History and Classics degree from Johns Hopkins University, where he wrote a senior thesis on the mystical mind-reading of Roman soldiers. Before jumping on board with Rolling Rome, Oscar was busy unraveling history mysteries for high-schoolers. When he’s not zipping through Rome’s historic streets, you might find him kicking back at his family’s farm just a little south of the ancient hustle and bustle.
Sarah – Office
Amid the lively streets of Rome, Sarah manages to balance the rigors of medical school with her love for the city’s vibrant lifestyle. Indulging in the delights of Roman pasta and pizza, she effortlessly pairs her dedication to medicine with moments of pure dolce vita. Her charming sausage dog is always by her side, making her strolls through the Eternal City even more endearing. We can always count on Sarah to recommend the best trattoria in town, all while ensuring her plate—and her pup’s attention—is never empty.
Valerio C – Guide
Valerio Cappelli was born and raised in the center of beautiful Roma. He has a passion for history and endless anecdotes but the truth must be said; his greatest passion is food. When he’s not guiding he’s doing his other gig which is acting so join along and let him take you all around a different time and space! A ride with Valerio means hopping on his golf cart “Time Machine” and going back centuries to meet many of the great figures of the past.
Valerio R – Guide
If there’s anything you need to know about Valerio Ricci, it is one word- football! Valerio has a Masters degree in Classics and attended Classical High School: so the Romans and the Greeks have been his friends for a very long time and he’s excited to share them with you! Valerio is passionate about learning languages, traveling and exploring different cultures. When not giving tours or obsessing over football, Valerio continues building his skills in painting, acting, singing, and dancing!
